Castle classified as a historical monument.

Perched on its steep rock, at an altitude of 750m, the ancient fortress of Polminhac proudly dominates the Cère valley. The imposing keep symbolizes all the majesty of the castle of Pesteils and evokes the Middle Ages in its roughest expression, glorious testimony of what must have been this stronghold of Cantal. Beautiful frescoes of the 15th century decorate the interior.

The 17th century enriches the main body with remarkable painted ceilings.

Tapestries, paintings, furniture, richly decorate this set. Enlarged and restored in the 19th century, the castle has been the property of the Cassagne de Beaufort de Miramon Pesteils family since 1608 and is still inhabited today. 20 wax figures illustrate seven centuries of daily life in Pesteils.
